| Note added by Noel (ST@st1100.org): Keith Wilkerson (his ST is pictured) has excellent detailed instructions on his web site noted above. His chosen method of installation was to retain the OEM vibration inserts and bar end weights. I followed his instructions (along with special help from LIST members Claude Fournier and Ben Timms who also have installed the BMW bars). However, I chose to purchase the BMW vibration inserts and bar end weights (mostly because I don't have suitable equipment for removing the OEM inserts/weights as Keith describes). I also chose the black BMW bars (cost $81.52) rather than the chrome ones (part number for chrome plated ones is on Keith's web site). For reference, I'm including below a copy of the invoice for my parts that shows part numbers (including BMW vibration inserts and bar end weights, and bars). I didn't do any special shopping for price...just walked into the local BMW dealer here in Washington (in January 2001).
