I (STeinar) has used this radio for Bike to Bike communication, and it really works :-)
There is already made cables for connection to the AutoCom PRO3000 intercom, and the
radio is then vox activated. (Transmitter starts when you are talking)
The usable range is found to be some 1-4 Km, and the sound is superb.

Easy Key Function

Ingenious key assignments enhance operating ease. With one hand you can flick on the Power switch and use the Mode and UP/DOWN keys to select group mode.

Group Mode

To avoid hearing other groups using the same channel, select group mode - just pick a CTCSS number from 1 to 38. You can also "broadcast" a message to everybody in the group.

Up to 60 Hours

Just 3 AA alkaline batteries provide up to 60 hours of operation (based on a typical cycle: 6 seconds of transmission, 6 seconds of reception, and 48 seconds on stand-by). An indicator warns of low battery power.

Versatile Options

Among the convenient options available for the UBZ is a headset for hands-free operation - great for skiing! There's also a speaker-mike and carrying case for mobile use.
